Procedure for Applying to Become a Life Member of the Association

1. Eligibility

Any person whose ancestral origin is from the five Kar Yin districts (Meixian, Xingning, Jiaoling, Wuhua, and Pingyuan) and who resides in any part of Penang, regardless of gender, aged eighteen (18) years and above, of good character, and willing to abide by the Constitution of the Association, shall be eligible to apply for membership.

2. Recommendation

The applicant must be proposed by one registered member of the Association and seconded by another registered member.

3. Application Method

The application must be submitted in writing using the standard application form provided by the Association.

4. Approval

The application shall be considered by the General Committee, which shall have absolute discretion to accept or reject the application without assigning any reason.

5. Fees

Upon the General Committee’s approval, the applicant shall pay the prescribed one-time entrance fee of RM 100. The applicant shall not be deemed a member of the Association until such payment is duly received by the Association, whereupon the applicant shall be admitted as a life member.

四、附注 Notes

1. 申请人须由一名正式会员提名，另一名正式会员附议。 The applicant must be proposed by one Ordinary Member and seconded by another Ordinary Member.

2. 申请获批准后，须缴交一次性入会费马币一百令吉（RM100.00），缴费后方正式成为永久会员。 Upon approval, a one-time admission fee of RM100.00 shall be paid before becoming a Permanent Member.

3. 本会有权审议并决定是否接纳申请，无须说明理由。 The Association reserves the right to accept or reject any application without assigning reasons.
